Map

The Sugar Daddy race features 4 unique courses for each distance on the awesome paseo pathways, taking runners of each distance to experience different parts of the Santa Clarita Valley. Each distance goes by the following course colors:

  • Half Marathon = Red Course
  • 10K = Purple Course
  • 5K = Blue Course
  • Kids Run = Yellow Course

There are a total of 6 aid-stations throughout all the courses and the start/finish line, plus don't forget runners will get ice cream at the finish line!

HALF MARATHON WALK-THROUGH

Starting from the Iron Horse trail head runners will go East going under McBean Parkway to Valencia Blvd to reach Station #1.

Then follow the pathway around and go under Bouquet Canyon to make a hairpin turn onto Bouquet Canyon to cross over the Santa Clara River and reach Station #2.

Then follow the path on the north side of the Santa Clara river going towards Golden Valley Road to Station #3 and make a U-Turn to go back to #2.

When reaching #2 the second time runners will go under Bouquet Canyon Road following the path that goes behind Lowes and around towards Bridgeport park, following the path to go under McBean Parkway to Station #4.

Then follow the path North until going under Decoro Dr. reaching Station 5 to make a hairpin turn to go onto Decoro Dr. and right down to the paseo to go under Decoro Dr. and follow the paseo South to #6. Continue following the paseo to the Iron Horse bridge and the finish line.

HALF MARATHON ELEVATION

The Half Marathon elevation profile has a very gradual elevation gain and descent that is mostly between Station #2 to #3 and back to provide a bit of challenge. Otherwise, most are small hills that come from road underpasses or bridge crossings. Overall a very fast course.

HALF MARATHON STATION SEQUENCE

Half Marathon runners will hit aid-stations in the following sequence from start to finish for a combined total of 7 stations. Below is the station sequence, mile markers, and gaps between stations.

5. Station #2 6.9 1.9 Paseo before Bouquet Canyon bridge
6. Station #4 8.8 1.5 3-way paseo after going under McBean Parkway bridge
7. Station #5 10.3 1.1 Paseo after going under Decoro bridge
8. Station #6 11.4 1.7 Paseo before Newhall Ranch Road bridge
8. Finish 13.1 0 After Iron Horse bridge
