GUIDELINES<\/h2>\t\t\n\t\t\t

In response to the global pandemic, New Global Adventures has developed a company-wide COVID-19 policy for our races. Safety is paramount, and we will only host our races if we believe they can take place with a reasonable level of safety for everyone involved.<\/p>\n

The following guidelines are put in place for your safety and the safety of everyone at the event. We ask that all participants, spectators, pacers, race crew, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and guests<\/strong> follow these requirements and guidelines.<\/p>\n

Please take a few moments to review and prepare for your race. Be smart, use common sense, and consider the safety of everyone around you. Thank you for your cooperation and support in making an awesome safe race experience.<\/p>\n\t

NOTE: These requirements and guidelines will evolve and adjust to meet health and safety guidelines recommended by the CDC, California and County-specific health departments, and endurance industry standards.<\/p>\n

\t\n\tAT RISK?<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

If you think you have been exposed to a known COVID-19 case within 2-weeks of race day, tested positive, or exhibit symptoms, including cough, fever, headaches, fatigue, or trouble breathing, then you may\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0participate in the event. If you feel there is\u00a0any<\/strong>\u00a0chance that you are at risk then please do not come to the race, check with your doctor, and quarantine.<\/p>\n

You will not lose your entry if you can not make the race due to COVID-19 exposure or testing positive, simply\u00a0contact<\/a>\u00a0us to inform us that you are not able to make the race and would like to change your entry to a virtual entry or defer to next years race. For the virtual option, you can do your run within 3-months after the race date.<\/p>\n\t\t

\t\n\tVACCINE & TESTS<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t
\u00a0VACCINATION<\/h5>\n

While not required, we strongly recommend being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 2-week prior to the race.<\/p>\n

Why? Even if you consider yourself to be low risk for infection, you may find yourself in a high-risk situation, such as an unanticipated visit, meeting, or contact with someone who has been less diligent than you at avoiding transmission risk.<\/p>\n

\u00a0NEGATIVE COVID TEST<\/h5>\n

All participants are\u00a0recommended<\/strong> to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72-hours of checking into the Sugar Daddy Race, even if you are fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n

It is your responsibility to get tested. Most testing is free, fast, and easy, getting you results in 1-2 days.\u00a0Visit this page for no-cost testing options<\/a>. Schedule your test the week of the race. Be aware that receiving results can vary, check with your testing facility to ensure you will receive your results in time for the race check-in.<\/p>\n

This also applies to spectators, pacers, crew, family, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and partners that plan to attend the race in support of runners.\u00a0 Please have each person that will join you at the race provide proof of a negative PCR test within 72-hours of the race.<\/p>\n\t\t

\t\n\tFACE COVERING<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

While the risk of COVID-19 transmission in outdoor settings is very low. We still need to be safe and proceed with caution. Masks and face coverings are recommended at the Sugar Daddy Race at these points:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Parking check-in<\/li>\n
  • Race check-in<\/li>\n
  • Race start, checkpoint, & finish<\/li>\n
  • Aid-station<\/li>\n
  • Food station<\/li>\n
  • Medical station<\/li>\n
  • Porta-potty\/bathrooms<\/li>\n
  • Coming within 6-feet of contact with anyone or groups of people<\/li>\n
  • When a volunteer instructs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Plan on carrying masks or face coverings with you at all times and be prepared to put them as noted above and as needed to be safe.<\/p>\n\t\t

    \t\n\tCHECK-IN<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

    When arriving at the race staging area to check-in please come prepared and follow the safety guidelines of staying distanced, wearing a mask, staying in single file lines, and following volunteer instructions.\u00a0 Have the following items prepared:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Signed release\u00a0waiver<\/li>\n
    • Signed\u00a0waiver for your pacers, crew, spectators, or family attending the race<\/li>\n
    • Photo ID<\/li>\n
    • Cash (for purchases, upgrades, or add-ons)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t

      \t\n\tRACE START<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

      For the start of the race, participants are recommended to wear a mask and socially distance by 6-feet.<\/p>\n

      \u00a0ON THE COURSE<\/h5>\n

      Once on the course and spread out by at least 6-feet, then you can remove your mask. Plan on putting your mask back on when coming into and stopping at aid stations and the finish line.<\/p>\n\t\t

      \t\n\tAID-STATIONS<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

      \u00a0FOOD<\/h5>\n

      To minimize the risk of contamination we will reduce open containers of food, snacks, and goodies and focus on pre-packaged food or place items in individual serving cups or bags.<\/p>\n

      \u00a0LIQUIDS<\/h5>\n

      We recommend all runners carry a runner’s water bottle or a hydration pack that can be easily refilled. We will have water and electrolytes available in Igloo coolers and pitchers to help refill your bottles or hydration packs.\u00a0 When you need to refill, please open your bottle or pack to have it ready to be refilled with minimal to no contact required.<\/p>\n

      \u00a0SELF-SUFFICIENT<\/h5>\n

      To help minimize contact points and risks, we encourage you to be as self-sufficient as possible. Plan to carry enough gels, food, and liquids to ensure you have enough to get you through your race.<\/p>\n\t\t

      \t\n\tCHECKLIST<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

      In addition to your regular runner’s checklist, prepare the following items:<\/p>\n

      • Disinfectant wipes<\/li>\n
      • Waste bag<\/li>\n
      • Reusable water bottle<\/li>\n
      • Water & electrolytes<\/li>\n
